Scent is one of the most heightened senses linked to triggering emotion, but when it comes to interior design, the importance of fragrance and its ability to positively affect our mood is often overlooked.  

By pairing fragrance with the function of each room, it can help create the perfect ambience and adds that finishing touch to making our houses feel more like home.

Why I founded The Bournville Candle Company

The Bournville Candle Company was established when a hobby became so much more, through a genuine love and passion for home fragrance.  Making candles, wax melts and reed diffusers, and sampling different fragrances, became a release from my 9-5 corporate job! 

I realised the candles and wax melts I had been purchasing regularly from popular retailers were not made using quality wax, or emitting the nicest particles into my home (think black soot on my walls, we have all been there!).

Burning them offers stress relief and deep satisfaction in equal measures, gained from the comfort of knowing how truly natural and environmentally friendly my products are.
