Purpose of these Terms & Conditions:

These Terms & Conditions set out the rules governing participation in The Bournville Candle Company Limited giveaways and competitions.  They are designed to ensure fairness, transparency, and compliance with UK law, including consumer protection and data protection regulations.  By entering, participants understand how the competition works, what eligibility and prize rules apply, and how their personal data will be handled.

 

1. Promoter

This promotion is organised and administered by The Bournville Candle Company Limited (“the Promoter”).

 

2. Eligibility

·        Entry is open to UK residents aged 18 or over at the time of entry.

·        Employees of the Promoter, its group companies, agents, contractors, and their immediate family members are excluded from participation.

·        The Promoter reserves the right to request proof of age, identity, and residency.

 

3. How to Enter

·        To enter, participants must follow the instructions set out in the official giveaway post published on the Promoter’s social media account(s).

·        Only entries that comply fully with the instructions will be valid.  Where applicable, a correct answer or required statement must be submitted to qualify.

·        No purchase is necessary to enter.

 

4. Entry Period

·        The giveaway opens on the date stated in the official post and closes at the time specified (UK time) on the closing date specified.

·        Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted.

 

5. Prize Details

·        The prize(s) will be as described in the giveaway post.

·        Prizes are non-transferable and no cash or alternative will be offered.

·        The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its control make this necessary.

 

6. Winner Selection & Notification

·        The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries using a fair and transparent process.

·        The winner will be notified via the social media platform used for entry within 5 days of the closing date.

·        If the winner does not respond within 72 hours of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

 

7. Prize Delivery/Collection

·        Delivery or collection arrangements will depend on the nature of the prize and will be communicated to the winner at the time of notification.

·        Where collection is required, the winner must collect the prize within 72 hours of notification from the location specified by the Promoter.  Failure to do so may result in forfeiture and the selection of a new winner.

·        The Promoter accepts no responsibility for prizes lost, delayed, or damaged in transit. Replacement will not be provided.

 

8. Data Protection

·        Personal data provided by entrants will be processed solely for the purposes of administering the giveaway, contacting winners, and fulfilling prizes, in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.

·        Data will not be shared with third parties except where necessary for prize fulfilment (e.g., delivery providers).

·        Entrants have the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of their personal data by contacting the Promoter.

·        This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Instagram or any other social media platform.  Entrants acknowledge that they are providing information to the Promoter, not to Instagram.

 

9. General

·        By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.

·        The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw the giveaway at any time if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable.

·        The Promoter’s decision regarding all aspects of the giveaway is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.

·        The giveaway is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
